You are welcome to read, print and link to these pages. The text, photographs and design are ours or are used with permission, and may not be republished commercially without our agreement.
We try to keep every page accurate, but details change — rates, room availability, opening times, what is nearby. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. A reservation exists once we have confirmed it, on the terms shown to you at the time.
Reservations
- Rates are per room, per night, before tax, and are quoted in US dollars.
- Cancellation, deposit and modification terms vary by rate and are shown before you confirm. Those terms take precedence over anything on this site.
- Room photographs and descriptions are representative. Rooms in a 1913 building vary in size, shape and outlook, and the particular room you receive is assigned at check-in.
- Bed type, floor and room location are requests rather than guarantees.
- Our full hotel policies form part of your booking.

Where we link to somewhere else — a garage, a theatre, a map — we do it because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.
Limitation
To the extent the law allows, this website is provided as it is, without warranty. We are not liable for loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of the City and County of San Francisco have jurisdiction.
