- Powell Street and Union Square are full of them, and the best are a walk rather than a lift ride. Coffee and tea are in the lobby.

- There are several within a few blocks, and the walk up Nob Hill is its own cardio.
- Parking
- We have none. The Union Square Garage and the Ellis-O’Farrell Garage are both a short walk, and most guests here do not keep a car at all.
- Meeting or event space
- Not at this hotel. Ask the front desk and we will point you at somewhere nearby that does it properly.

- Nothing is far enough away to need it.

It is a 1913 building and it behaves like one. There is one lift for 6 floors. Rooms vary in size and shape, because they were not built to a plan that expected them to match. If a particular thing matters to your stay — a bath rather than a shower, a quieter side, a lower floor — call the desk and ask before you book, and we will tell you honestly.
